The Bayfield Winery is located high on the hills overlooking the waters of Lake Superior at the top of Wisconsin. Scott and Renate Hauser specialize in making traditional hard ciders and country wines from primarily locally grown fruits . Sample our wines while enjoying a panoramic view of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands from over 600 feet above lake level.

You will find the Bayfield Winery at Hauser’s Superior View Farm, our family’s apple orchard and farm, which has been continuously owned and operated by the Hauser family since 1908. Visit our historic barn, picnic among the wildflowers or apple blossoms. In the fall, taste our fresh cider and pick your own apples. The Bayfield Winery and Hauser’s Superior View Farm are located 2 1/2 miles northwest of historic Bayfield on County Trunk J. Open 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, May 1 to October 31.

 
Wines

  • J.D. Hauser’s Grand Reserve – A dry apple wine aged in American oak. It has a smooth smokey flavor with an understated apple flavor. In limited quantities. SOLD OUT UNTIL SUMMER 2015
  •  

  • Schneewittchen – This is a crisp dry apple wine. It has a nice apple flavor and well balanced acidity. Try it with your chicken or pork dishes.
  •  

  • Queen’s Red – A very tart and zesty dry to semi-dry apple wine blended with tart red currants and tannin filled black currants with just a hint of oak. One of the wines used in Bayfield Sangria or great with pizza.
  •  

  • Hauser’s Colonial – A semi-dry apple wine that has a smooth and buttery texture on your palate. Made from a 300 year old recipe.
  •  

  • Blackberry Farm House Cider – A semi-sweet apple wine combined with the delicate flavor and tannin of fresh blackberries. Great for sipping and with cheeses.
  •  

  • Sweet Apple Wine – A sweet apple wine, very aromatic and crisp, very refreshing. Great with cheeses and dessert.
  •  

  • Berry-Licious – A sweet wine with fantastic flavors of the summer berries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries.
  •  

  • Blueberry Farm House Cider – A sweet apple wine blended with te subtle flavor and aroma of farm fresh blueberries. One of the wines used to make Bayfield Sangria also excellent as a spritzer.

  • Cranberry Farm House Cider – Savor the perfect combinatin of sweet apples blended with tart cranberries. A refreshing wine in the heat of summer or the perfect companion with fall and winter dishes.
  •  

  • Raspberry Farm House Cider – This sweet apple wine has a wonderful raspberry flavor and aroma. Just add ice and Sprite or club soda to make a delicious spritzer.
  •  

  • Cherry Farm House Cider – Dark sweet Cherries are combined with sweet apple wine to create a smooth and creamy wine. Excellent to use in your mulled wine recipes. SOLD OUT UNTIL SUMMER 2015
