This is a wonderful place to stop and get out on the beach with the kids or just have a picnic! No other beach area I found on the North Shore has such a wonderful selection of stones at such an easy access point. Without much looking you’ll find stones that contain interesting crystals, colors, and rings. Plus, you may just find the rare Thomsonite gem.
Fishing
The river is shown having rainbow trout however, as many of the smaller creeks, it is typically a trickle in the summer months. A hike up stream may reveal some pools, but be aware of private property restrictions and fishing regulations.
