Along Old Hwy 61, from Duluth to McQuade Small Craft Harbor there are nine paved pull-off areas that allow you access to the shoreline for fishing or simply taking a break.

Paths To Shore

Most of the trails leading down the bank to the water are red clay and unimproved. In wet conditions these can be very slippery.
