Cascade River

Cascade River State Park

The Cascade has two sections to consider for fishing. Up from the lake, anglers can try for steelhead in the spring and again, along with salmon and even lake trout in the fall. Above the first falls you will have more luck fishing for brook trout and rainbows. A network of tributaries keep the Cascade running well the entire season and are also worth a trip to their banks. You can use the Superior Hiking Trail, Bally Creek Road and Cascade Road to work your way to various areas of the river.
